CYCLADES PROJECT

Directed by DAVIDE MORANDINI

Louis and Jean-Louis look just like two ordinary old men. But at the start of the 70s, these brilliant computer scientists, along with a few others including Najah Naffah and Michel Gien, became the architects of Cyclades - the first computer network to use the groundbreaking technology that, as of today, still keeps the internet going.

Despite their leading discoveries, this ambitious national program was finally abandoned. Today, and despite their old age, the Buena Vista Social Club of IT remains very active and continue to promote ways to make the internet safer and more sustainable. Just like the one they almost invented half a century ago.
